“A Distant Love – Songs of John and Abigail Adams,” libretto by Terry Quinn, music by Gary S. Fagin, is based on the David McCullough biography of John Adams and the letters between John and Abigail Adams.

Soprano Elizabeth Dabney Hochman and baritone Thomas Meglioranza join a KCO ensemble for this story of two of the most thoughtful and impactful couples in American history; the KCO is presenting “A Distant Love – Songs of John and Abigail Adams” during the 2026 Semiquincentennial celebrations to provide a thoughtful antidote to what will likely be a year of patriotic intensity.
