An Intimate Evening of Music

Guests were invited to a special musical soirée on Thursday evening, March 13th—a preview of a program the Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra is set to present in May.

Attendees joined hosts Maartje Oldenburg and KCO Board Chair Chris Robertson at Chris’s beautiful Hudson Square home, just north of Canal Street, where three exceptional singers—soprano Christine Jobson, mezzo-soprano Kate Tombaugh, and tenor Scott Murphree—performed alongside pianist Alan Johnson. The program featured songs by KCO Music Director Gary S. Fagin—music of love and art, heartbreak and celebration—that offered solace and inspiration during challenging times.

It was a rare opportunity to hear selections from Gary’s diverse catalog of compositions, some receiving their world premieres, performed by world-class artists in an intimate setting.
